No — we keep a person on any step with real consequences, such as spending money or granting access. Automation removes the chasing, the copying and the waiting around that surrounds the approval, not the judgment itself.
Can you build an internal tool if no product does what we need?
Yes. Where an off-the-shelf product does not fit, we build a small internal tool with the same reliability standards as the rest of the system, and hand over the code and hosting to you.
